West Broadway Rising Youth’s Job Program
Launching 2026 | Powered by $250,000 in State-Allocated Funds
West Broadway Business & Area Coalition is proud to introduce West Broadway Rising, a 16-week paid Youth Career Readiness & Internship Program designed to equip Northside youth with the skills, experience, and confidence to step boldly into their futures—while strengthening the local businesses that make our corridor thrive.
Built with intention and backed by state investment, West Broadway Rising connects young people to meaningful career pathways and prepares them to contribute to a strong, skilled, and community-centered workforce right here on West Broadway.
A Training Experience That Builds Real Skills
For the first 6 weeks, participants engage in transformative training sessions centered on essential career foundations, including:
Professional soft skills
Emotional intelligence and workplace communication
Résumé creation and digital portfolios
Interview preparation and mock interviews
Career exploration and industry insights from local leaders
This phase ensures that every young person enters the workforce prepared, polished, and aligned with opportunities that fit their strengths.
10 Weeks of Real-World Experience with Local Employers
After completing the training, youth transition into a 10-week paid internship with one of our trusted WBC member businesses. These placements:
Offer hands-on, practical experience
Introduce youth to real work environments
Build long-term relationships between young talent and local employers
Support business owners eager to invest in the next generation of leaders
Youth are matched intentionally with businesses that align with their interests, skills, and career goals.
Investing in Youth. Strengthening Business. Transforming Community.
West Broadway Rising is more than a job program—it’s a bridge. A bridge between young people seeking direction, employers seeking talent, and a community seeking growth. With strategic funding and strong partnerships, this program will shape a more resilient, empowered, and opportunity-rich West Broadway.
