West Broadway Revitalization Projects

The West Broadway Business and Area Coalition is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant corridor that fulfills the dreams of Northside residents and business owners alike. In the wake of COVID-19 and the civil unrest following the murder of George Floyd, our small but mighty team of diverse women has worked tirelessly—not just to restore West Broadway but to reimagine and transform it into a stronger, more resilient community. We are proud and excited to share the incredible progress and milestones we’ve achieved together.

Since launching our Broadway Beautiful and Great Streets Matching Grant programs, the West Broadway Business and Area Coalition has invested 2.7 million into revitalizing North Minneapolis. This includes funding for projects like landscaping, signage, murals, exterior painting, and security upgrades for local businesses. In 2024 alone, we’ve allocated $132,794 to support transformative changes for BIPOC-owned companies and properties on West Broadway. These funds deliver dreams and reshape our community, ensuring that our businesses and residents thrive in a safe, beautiful, and welcoming environment.
